Follow Up:

Ok: I probably should have looked it up more diligently in the documentation.
You can increase the fontsize on the fly but with a little hitch; Cmd + but that is actually with the Shift key.
Have a look at Preview: it lets you increase the font size with Cmd = and Cmd +. I find it a bit weird that you have to use the shift key for increasing the size but not for a decrease in the size.
It would still be nice if you can also change the actual font used.

I am not familiar with Total Commander, but some of the wishes you have are already in BetterZip, although they probably work a little different from it.

To adjust the font size press Cmd+ and Cmd- which many Mac OS X programs use.

Home is Option+Up, end Option+Down. To collapse/expand a folder use left and right arrows. To expand all subfolders use Option+Right. But, sorry, the folder has to be selected for that.

The synchronization feature is on my to-do list in form of updating archives automatically, but it will have to wait a little.

I am not sure what you mean with your follow-up. On my keyboard it's plus and minus. Makes sense, right? If you have a full keyboard, you can also use the keys of the num pad.

I hope I can explain in such a way that it becomes clear.

Above the two keys marked with [ and ] you have two keys one of which is marked with a - at the bottom and an underscore above. And the other is marked with a = above which is the + sign.
Cmd and + is achieved by pressing the Cmd, Shift and =/+ keys simultaneously. That is what I meant; if you don't press the shift key (thus doing only Cmd = the computer beeps at you).

I didn't even think of using the numeric keypad (it works but it isn't very handy: you need two hands). I don't want to use the numeric keypad.

If Cmd = (I mean the key marked with = and +) is allowed (as it is in Preview: try it) you can get by with using one hand only.

I hope this clarifies what I meant.

So what I would like is that not only Cmd + is accepted but also Cmd = for increasing the fontsize.

I have a German keyboard which behaves a little differently. Cmd+ is just that and there is no shift key involved, so there is no need for a special handling of Cmd=. But I'll see what I can do about this.

It may be an idea to contact Peter Borg of Smultron (http://smultron.sourceforge.net/). I'm not sure what kind of keyboard layout he has but we had to iterate a few times to get it right.
