Today I was using v 1.6.1 of BetterZip, to open an zip archive of my financial data that I had put a password on (for minimal security).

I had made two archives, one with password, one without.

When I try to open either one in Betterzip to view, it always asks for password, does not allow cancel out of the non-passworded zip file, and does not accept the correct password for the passworded zip file. It constantly puts up the "Enter the password" windoidm, with 'Cancel' that does not cancel, or 'OK' which cannot work with unneeded password.
In all cases now, I must use Activity Monitor to Force Quit.
Thankfully, it is now my standard op proc. to always put Activity Monitor in my Dock.

I can use The Unarchiver to extract both the regular and the password protected zip file, so I know the password is correct.

any thoughts about this?
