Multi-part asks for password

I compressed serveral huge quicktime movies in 17 zips 1 Gb each. I try to open the first one to uncompress them all and it asks me for a password that I didn't set up when compressing.

I have read in the forum its a known bug. Any workaround? Could I use another software?. I really need those files.

V. 1.8.1, Leopard 10.5.6

It was a known bug of an older version, but has been fixed in version 1.7.2, if I recall correctly. What program did you use to create those archives?

I used Betterzip 1.8.1 demo.

Are all parts present in the same folder? Are there any non-English characters in the path or file name?
