undesirable behavior when error occurs

Sometimes when I select several RAR archives in the finder and open them all at once with BetterZip, I get the following message: "Error. BetterZip cannot extract to this folder. Maybe you don't have write access." What's undesirable is that even though BetterZip fails to expand the archive, it still moves the RAR file to the Trash. In other words, it seems designed to send the file to the Trash after it is done processing it, rather than after it has successfully processed it. This is frustrating because then I have to fish through the Trash, find the file that BetterZip choked on, drag it out of the Trash, and then reopen it. Every time I do this, it opens fine. So the error itself is inexplicable and the specific information in the error message is misleading. I should note that this whole phenomenon occurs only when I've selected a number of files in the Finder and tried to expand them all simultaneously. It certainly doesn't happen every time I try to open multiple files at once, just sometimes. The biggest problem is that the file that didn't open successfully ends up in the Trash and has to be rescued. The other problem, of course, is the failure to expand the file and the sending of an error message that doesn't make sense, when there is never anything wrong with either the file or my write access to the destination folder.

I have seen this once or twice myself, but I haven't been able to reproduce it under controlled conditions yet. I have this on my bug list and will further investigate. Thanks reporting this!
