Folders appear twice

Hi,

Sometimes folders appear twice in the list:

The second copenhagen... folder isn't present in the archive.. The archive was created using OS X's built-in archiver.

Kind regards

Archive properties are placed badly

Hi Robert,

Some archives have badly placed properties. Here's a screenshot to illustrate:

I'm not sure why it happens, it seems quite random..

Kind regards

Problem with .tar and .tgz archives

I love BetterZip QL Generator!

But I'm not able to look inside .tar and .tgz archives. BetterZipQL recognizes them, and tells me what file type, location, etc. in the header, but the are below that which would list the files contained in the archive is blank.

I have an Intel Quad MacPro (Early 2009) and am running Snow Leopard 10.6.2.

If I do glmanage -p on a .tar or .tgz I get this message:

[WARNING] Plug-in at /Library/QuickLook/BetterZipQL.qlgenerator/ is 32bit

I suppose is just a warning, not a fatal error because if I try the same on a type of archive that works (eg. .zip or .rar) I get the same warning, even though BZQLG displays the contents of the archive correctly.

I've removed all local and global QL Generators except BZQLG and have run qlmanage -r and even restarted. Still have the problem with .tar and tgz files.

Appreciate your help,

GT

.tar or .gz but can I mod this to do both?

Hello,

I have a few files that are .tar.gz but quick look will not do what it does as if it were just a .zip.

Is there a way around this?

Thanks for any help or advice,

Paul

Embarrassed to admit I can't get it to work

I'm very much looking forward to using BetterZip quicklook on my Mac (leopard). I've tried other "solutions" with less than satisfactory results.

I installed BZQL as per the directions. I applied the Terminal commands, restarted Finder, rebooted, etc. No luck. When I press Spacebar on a selected Zip archive, I only see the icon. No contents or additional information.

I'm usually fairly adept at this. But I don't know much about the inner workings of the quicklook feature coding, and am clueless as to where to look or what to do next.

Any suggestions (preferably helpful) would really be appreciated. Thanks!
Ed
