Compress with BetterZip (Share Extension)

The Share extension lets you compress files from any macOS app that exposes a Share button or menu. It’s a small companion to BetterZip and opens the main app to do its job.

Enabling the extension

Open System Settings, search “Extensions”, find BetterZip, click the (i) button and enable Sharing. What. A. Mess.

How to use it

Select one or more items in any app and choose Share > Compress with BetterZip. BetterZip’s save panel will appear where you can set all the usual options (including loading a preset) to save an archive with the shared items.
